Welcome to my daughters bridal shower! On Saturday she was given her first bridal shower hosted by her aunt and cousins who did a spectacular job. The cake consisted of two decorated layered pound cakes, which was not only beautiful but delicious.
Then there was the cheese straws with pine nut topping . . . and other wonderful dishes . . .
And of course the guests of honor . . .Josh and Jamie . . .
Did I mention the beautiful flowers . . .
After everything was over and the gifts brought home, she and Josh sat down and promptly wrote out all of their thank you notes. . . It was a wonderful weekend, but so busy and just a taste of the activity that awaits us as the days grow closer to the wedding. I am excited!

That is so wonderful. I love the green cake and your daughter and fiance' look so adorable.
What a happy celebration, the cake is so pretty and what a sweet couple.
I liked the little Easter books from your S&T...for some reason they remind me of when I was little and Sunday school. Linda
What a darling cake. The party looks lovely, and the young couple beaming.
What wonderful young people. It is so amazing and responsible of them to write out their thank you notes like that. I did thank everyone (I hope), but I didn't do it immediately, and wish I had. Good for them. Great gifts too.
