It's Show & Tell Friday over at Kelli's There's No Place Like Home. Drop by for a visit and see who else is there for Show & Tell.
So glad you stopped by to share in my Show and Tell. Today I wanted to share with you one of my keepsakes from the years I was in Girl Scouts. This is my sash that with the pins and badges I earned for different activities. The two gold stars on green were for the two years I was a Brownie scout, and the four gold stars on yellow are from the four years I was a Junior/Senior scout. Did anyone notice I only earned eight badges in six years of scouting!?! I look at this now and just laugh out loud! One badge is for sewing (which I am not good at) and one was for cooking (again, which I am not very good at). If only they had badges for loving to talk and laugh with my friends, daydreaming, and eating Girl Scout cookies I would have had that sash covered!
Here is a school pictures during that time in which I proudly displayed by Girl Scout pride. Take a look at those chains on my glasses! Too funny!
Well, thanks for stopping by my show and tell today, I have had fun!

What a great show n tell. What a great memory for you...and ya, forgive me, but what a great photo of yourself!!! [I used great too often, I know]
My S n T is shared. If you haven't dropped by, I sure hope you can stop and say "Howdy Do!".
Happy Weekend to you and yours.
Oh, how I love this show and tell. And how brave you are to post a school picture. Just kidding, but I still won't show mine. I loved girl scouts too.
Oh how cute; you look a bit like Halley Mills in that picture. My mom was a troop leader--I don't recall what was on her thing-a-ma-gig
weren't you te cutest little scout! I bet that smile could sell a lot of cookies! Jennifer
I think your picture and mine somehow got mixed up! I was a Girl Scout Leader for my youngest daughter's troop for a LONG, LONG time! You would've enjoyed being in my troop. We earned all kinds of badges as wek=ll as did a lot of activities where we earned patches!
I got bounced today, somehow I didn't quite fit into the guidelines. That's okay, my post stands as is.
Connie
What a good S&T subject! Reminds me I had my daughter's sash, wondering if I still have it somewhere! I was a Girl Scout leader!
Love the chains on the glasses!

Thaks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! I glanced down (while looking for your Winchester story..haven't gotten there yet, but have to comment) and saw your MOB post. Our daughter the Civil war re-enactor is getting married in October! I could totally relate to most of what you wrote. Our luck was better with the dress. It was the FIRST one! She went to David's Bridal with the dress already in mind. I told the Consultant that as with my 2 older daughters, we knew it was the perfect dress if I cried. She said,
"So it's my job to make you cry?"
I told her how it was my baby girl so it wouldn't take much.
When she came out, I saw her and she saw my reaction before looking up at herself in the full length mirror. We both burst into tears!!! We just picked it, the veil and the gloves up this past Sunday! We got her tiara and Jewelry elsewhere (Sam Moon's) becasue it was so much cheaper!
Okay o n to the Winchester. I'll probably be back soon!
Connie
Oh yeah, I learned to insure stuff on e-bay the hard way as well. I had a book on Theodore Roosevelt (my post from a couple of days ago, told of my interest in him)lost somewhere out there...
I'm back, did you miss me?
I remember you now, since I am scrolling through looking for the post on your step-grandpa, very interesting by the way! I remembered the photo of your husband's little girl on the mantle as well as your grandmother on her wedding day! You're also a scrapbooker!!! Yippee! Birds of a feather and all...
Connie
Oh this is a wonderful show and tell. I was a girl scout as well as a girl scout leader for both of my daughters.
I think you were a very cute girl scout…
Louise
Hi Sandra! Your pictures is just too cute! I wasn't a Girl Scout, but I should have joined for the cookies! hehe
-Karoline
Scouting teaches such good, wholesome traits. You worked hard to earn those patches. Glad you had and showed the picture, too.
Susan
Nice to learn more about you--you were a cutie!
What fun!! I have mine somewhere but I don't know where.
Oh what a cute picture, I remember those days!!
Have a great weekend,
Stephanie
It's okay your not good at those
badges, I guess the whole idea
in Girl Scouts is to Try-it!
Girl Scouts has been good for
my daughter, we need positive
things for girls to be part of.
Fun Photo! :)
I thik this was a great show and tell...I too have saved my daughter's "daisy" apron with all the little badges on it...I almost got rid of it but now I'm glad I kept it for her...maybe she will want to show someone one day? :o)
~simply~

Thanks so much for stopping by my Show and Tell yesterday. I love having new visitors. I enjoyed yours as well, and have read the past couple of posts - your daughter is beautiful and will lbe a gorgeous bride. And I feel so bad about your bowl disaster - ironic that I posted about a broken bowl for your visit! Come back any time.
Oh, I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today, because how fun to come here and see this Show and Tell!
I love the picture of you as a girl scout! You're just adorable, glasses and all!
I was a girl scout, too! I went all the way from Brownies to Cadettes...and my Jr. uniform looked just like this!
(I still remember my mom teaching me how to make meatloaf for my cooking badge!) LOL
So nice to meet you, and I hope you drop by again soon! :)
Blessings,
~Tammy
